Description: Castrol Spheerol™ EPL is a range of greases comprising lithium products with highly refined mineral oils, enriched with extreme pressure additives and corrosion and rust inhibitors. These greases have been formulated with additives that offer optimal film resistance under medium to high loads. Application: The Spheerol EPL range consists of general-purpose greases for use in plant-wide lubrication. The selection extends from greases with NLGI 3 classification for general-purpose bearing lubrication to semi-fluid greases with NLGI 00 classification (consult the specific specification sheet) indicated for centralised lubrication systems and gearboxes in a grease bath. These greases offer optimal protection against rust and corrosion, as well as water washout resistance. Thanks to these specifications, they are particularly suitable for equipment where humid conditions are common. The higher consistency achieved by NLGI 3 grade greases makes them especially suitable for the lubrication of vertically mounted bearings or components exposed to intense vibrations. The optimal levels of corrosion resistance and water washout resistance make this product a suitable alternative for equipment that often operates in humid conditions.
