CASTROL TECHNICLEAN AS 58 is based on an aliphatic solvent, free from aromatic compounds, virtually odourless, for industrial cleaning processes. APPLICATIONS It is used as a substitute for trichloroethane and other chlorinated solvents for the removal of all oil and grease deposits on steel parts and non-ferrous metals during manufacturing processes. REQUIRED FACILITIES Static immersion tanks or tanks with agitation, or facilities specifically designed for the handling of hydrocarbon solvents. NOTE: It is imperative that all equipment and work areas are authorised for the handling of flammable solvents and comply with local legislation. RESTRICTIONS CASTROL TECHNICLEAN AS 58 cannot be used in vapour degreasing facilities designed for chlorinated solvents. USAGE CASTROL TECHNICLEAN AS 58 is typically used at ambient temperature. To achieve greater degreasing power or faster drying, it can be heated to a maximum temperature of 40 °C (only in authorised equipment). ADVANTAGES High detergency. Odourless. Low toxicity.
