Respiratory protection equipment for evacuation (EEBD)

SK 1203 is an open-circuit compressed air self-contained breathing apparatus with a hood for evacuation (Emergency Escape Breathing Device) and is designed for self-rescue in all environments where dangerous situations may occur due to the presence of fire smoke or lack of oxygen.

SK 1203 is extremely easy to use and does not require special training; it activates automatically when the hood is removed from the bag and provides the user with breathable air in a continuous flow for more than 15 minutes. 

SK 1203 is designed to ensure the user a constant airflow to move away from the hazardous environment. At the end of the air supply, a special valve allows breathing from the environment, which at that point should not be contaminated. 

SK 1203 consists of a bottle, a valve/pressure reducer, a breathing tube, a hood, and a containment bag.  The 2 l bottle at 300 bar is directly connected to the valve/reducer equipped with a charge indicator that continuously shows the pressure inside the bottle. The breathing tube that feeds the hood is connected to the valve/reducer and is placed inside the bag to automatically activate the flow when removing the hood. The hood is equipped with a high-visibility visor, a collar that ensures a perfect seal and adapts to any face shape, an inner mask for dead space reduction, and a valve that opens outward at the end of the air supply.  The bag has a side window that allows checking the charge indicator from the outside and seals that immediately indicate any tampering or if the equipment has been previously used. The SK 1203 is made of antistatic materials, making it suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, i.e., when the danger of a potential explosion is associated with the presence of gas or dust in surface environments (thus excluding mines or deep quarries).
