Hose Skimmer

Tramp oils promote bacterial growth, deposits form on machine tools and workpieces, cause oil mist and reduce cooling capacity as well as oxygen absorption of the emulsion. Consequences: higher waste disposal costs, corrosion, bacterial contamination, unpleasant odours, poor cooling effect, skin problems, etc. The Ariana Hose Skimmer provides a solution by removing the oil accumulating on the surface of the emulsion. The tramp oil is removed from the surface and discharged from the unit via special self-cleaning hoses which transport the oil. There is no need for filters or microporous membranes. This results in lower operating and follow-up costs. The hose skimmer has an oil separator unit and ensures that up to 85% of tramp oil is removed. The hose skimmer is attached over the sump by means of a magnetic plate, ideally on the side opposite the liquid inlet. The base plate of the drive unit must be placed approximately 300 mm above the maximum liquid level. The hose is placed in the outlet support and fed into a sedimentation tank. The hose skimmer can be used for continuous operation or controlled via a timer. Use of the unit during machine tool operation is recommended.
