Description:

Castrol Magna™ SW D (formerly known as Magnaglide D Range) is specially formulated for the lubrication of machine tool slideways.

These oils are enriched with extreme pressure additives that provide lubricity and a special material that adds tackiness and adhesiveness.

Magna SW D lubricants stand out for their unique ability to overcome the "stick-slip" motion typically associated with slow-moving tool components.

They reduce vibration in machine tool slideways and possess the adhesive properties necessary to prevent lubricant run-off.

Application:

Magna SW D can be used on all vertical and horizontal slideways that require a high-quality demulsifying lubricant to protect the slideways and maximize coolant life. The excellent friction characteristics of the products prevent "stick-slip," improve surface finish, and machining tolerances of machined components, while reducing reject rates.
Magna SW D meets the stringent requirements of the following applications: planers, grinders, horizontal boring machines, shapers, jig borers, and milling machines.
Magna SW D 32 can be used as a combined hydraulic and slideway oil.
The Magna SW D range complies with:

Cincinnati Lamb (Milacron) P-47, P-50, and P-53 (depending on viscosity grade)
DIN 51502 - CGLP
DIN 51524 Part II (July 2004) - including filtration test according to ISO 13357-1/-2
Suitable for Müller Weingarten equipment as hydraulic oil
