Description: Castrol Magna™ SW D (formerly called Magnaglide D Range) is specially formulated for the lubrication of machine tool slide ways. These oils are enriched with extreme pressure additives that provide unctuousness and a special material, which provides tackiness and adhesivity. Magna SW D lubricants are distinguished by their unusual ability to overcome the 'stick-slip' motion normally associated with slow-moving tool components. They reduce machine tool slide way vibration and possess the necessary adhesive properties to prevent the lubricant from dripping. Application: Magna SW D can be used on all vertical and horizontal slide ways requiring a high-quality demulsifying lubricant to protect the slides and maximise coolant life; the excellent friction characteristics of the products prevent 'stick-slip', improve surface finish and machined component tolerances, whilst reducing the rejection rate. Magna SW D meets the strict requirements of the following applications: planers, grinders, horizontal boring machines, shapers, jig borers and milling machines. Magna SW D 32 can be used as a combined hydraulic and slide way oil.
