Description: Castrol Magna™ SW D (formerly called Magnaglide D Range) is specially formulated for the lubrication of machine tool slideways. These oils are enriched with extreme pressure additives that provide oiliness and a special material, contributing to stickiness and adhesiveness. Magna SW D lubricants stand out for their unusual ability to overcome the 'stick-slip' motion normally associated with slow-moving tool components. They reduce machine tool guideway vibration and possess the necessary adhesive properties to prevent the lubricant from dripping. Application: Magna SW D can be used in all vertical and horizontal slideways requiring a high-quality demulsifying lubricant to protect the guideways and maximise coolant life; the excellent friction characteristics of the products prevent 'stick-slip', improve surface finish and machined component tolerances, while reducing the rejection rate. Magna SW D meets the strict requirements of the following applications: planers, grinders, horizontal boring machines, shapers, jig borers, and milling machines.
