Tramp oils promote germ formation, generate sediments in machines and on workpieces, induce oil mist formation, and reduce cooling capacity as well as oxygen absorption of the emulsion. The consequences are: higher waste disposal costs, corrosion, bacterial infestation, bad odours, poor cooling, skin problems, etc. The ARIANA oil skimmer belt offers the solution for removing oil deposited on the surface of the emulsion. Thanks to the use of a special, self-cleaning oil-transporting belt, tramp oil is removed from the surface and discharged in the unit. Neither filters nor microporous membranes are required. This reduces service costs and associated expenses. The oil skimmer belt features an oil separation device and guarantees the removal of up to 90% of external oil. The oil skimmer belt is attached to the liquid container by means of a magnetic disc, preferably above the liquid inlet on the opposite side. The base plate of the drive unit must be positioned approximately 300 mm above the maximum liquid level. A hose leading to a tank is placed on the outlet supports. The oil skimmer belt can be operated either continuously or with a timer. It is recommended to operate the unit while the machine tool is in service. The belt moves across the oily film.
