DESCRIPTION: Artificial product obtained by fusion at a temperature of 2,300 ºC of silica sand + petroleum coke. Subsequently processed by: selection, crushing, washing, drying, demagnetisation, cleaning, sieving, and bagging. PROPERTIES: Purity: 92 - 98%; Colour: Black, Green; Appearance: Grain; Shape: Angular; Hardness: 9 Mohs. APPLICATIONS: Abrasives (macro-grains and micro-grains according to FEPA standard, in accordance with F series (grinding wheels) and P series (coated abrasives)); Refractories: grain sizes according to customer requirements; Metallurgy: used as a de-oxidiser in steelworks; Various technical applications.
