MOLYKOTE® 1122 Chain and Open Gear Grease, 400ml, box of 12 units

MOLYKOTE® 1122 Chain and Open Gear Grease is a synthetic grease with solid lubricants, formulated for industrial chain and open gear applications subjected to high loads and severe conditions. It provides high pressure resistance, excellent wear protection, and strong adhesion, preventing water washout and ensuring lubrication even under emergency conditions. Suitable for chains with hollow pins, open drives, low-speed sliding bearings, and industrial equipment exposed to high temperatures, such as drying systems and continuous process machinery.

Applications

Used for initial lubrication of chains with hollow pins equipped with grease fittings (e.g., high-temperature tension chains in the textile industry and conveyor chains in food sterilization units). Also used in gear drives and open gears; sliding bearings operating at low speeds and high temperatures (such as bearings in drying systems); and in calenders used in various industrial processes.

How to Use

General application Clean the contact surfaces. Apply as a conventional grease using a brush, spatula, grease gun, or automatic system.

Spray application If using the aerosol version, apply with continuous motion to achieve a thin and uniform layer. Avoid over-application.

Chains with hollow pins The pins must be completely filled with grease. Relubricate through the grease fittings using a grease gun.

The grease is effective up to 160 °C under these conditions.
