PROPERTIES:

Highly suitable for cleaning surfaces that require vigorous conditions, when rapid deoxidation is needed, or when parts will be subsequently finished or coated. Non-flammable. Produces no vapors. Not volatile. Not emulsifiable.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Complex compound formulated with active inorganic acids, supplemented with emulsifiers, degreasers, glycols with additives to activate the rust stripping process, and corrosion inhibitors to protect the base metal.

APPLICATIONS:

For deoxidizing and degreasing the following metals: copper, lead, brass, iron, steel, aluminum, bronze, cadmium. Not recommended for tinplate, tin, nickel, zinc, galvanized metals. For deoxidizing sheets and boat hulls, and in general, preparing metal surfaces before painting.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Mix with cold and/or hot water. Apply by spraying, brushing, or immersion. The thickness of the rust layer determines the ideal dilution of the product. For heavy rust: use undiluted or up to 50% in water. For light rust: dilute up to three parts water. Deoxidation is enhanced with heat (60°C), time, and scrubbing. After deoxidation, thorough rinsing and drying are recommended to remove acid residues from pores and fissures. If not immediately painted, applying an anti-rust protection is advisable to prevent new rust formations; QUEMDIZ also provides these protections.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Not recommended for tinplate, tin, nickel sheets, or galvanized metals. Deoxidation effectiveness is enhanced with heat (60°C), time, and scrubbing. If using undiluted, it may damage certain paints or glass materials; hence, it's advisable to conduct a test in an inconspicuous area before use.
