RENISO SYNTH 68 is a fully synthetic lubricant based on polyalphaolefins (PAO), with excellent chemical and thermal stability. It was developed especially for applications using ammonia as a refrigerant and offers a longer service life than conventional mineral oil-based refrigeration oils, lower evaporation losses and excellent low-temperature fluidity.

RENISO SYNTH 68 is particularly suitable for applications using hydrocarbons as refrigerant gas, such as propane or propene. It can also be used in CO2 systems, although it is not miscible with CO2. It is recommended over mineral oil- or alkylbenzene-based products, especially in ammonia applications operating at high speeds and/or particularly low evaporation temperatures. RENISO SYNTH 68 can be used in reciprocating and screw compressors with oil injection.
