THERMISOL 11 KB/S is a quenching fluid based on highly refined mineral oil, formulated with antioxidant, anticorrosion and cooling-rate-accelerating additives.

It is used for quenching low- and medium-hardenability steels requiring accelerated cooling, in applications including automotive components, stamped forged parts, gears, springs and leaf springs, fasteners, carburized and carbonitrided materials, and induction hardening. It is also particularly suitable for direct quenching of steels used for dies, molds, bearings, drawing dies and tools. Its high quenching speed and low vapor-phase formation make it suitable for quenching in batch furnaces. The product has been formulated to allow easy degreasing with aqueous products without affecting the subsequent tempering of the parts.
