THERMISOL 251 is a quenching fluid based on synthetic polymers, corrosion inhibitors, antioxidants and wetting agents, designed for batch or induction quenching of steels and aluminium.

It is recommended for quenching steels and non-ferrous alloys to achieve a final structure with maximum transformation while minimising material distortion. Depending on its concentration, it provides a wide range of closely controlled cooling rates: at low concentration, higher than water, and at high concentration, similar to those of a quenching oil. It also enables lower-alloy steels to be treated successfully and is suitable for induction quenching.
