THERMISOL P 240 is a quenching fluid based on synthetic polymers, anticorrosion, antioxidant and wetting additives, designed for batch or induction hardening of steels and aluminium.

It is recommended for hardening steels and non-ferrous alloys to achieve a final structure with maximum transformation and minimum material distortion. It is particularly suitable for induction hardening. Depending on its concentration, it provides a wide range of closely controlled cooling rates: at low concentration, cooling rates higher than water, and at high concentration, characteristics similar to those of a quenching oil. Its multifunctionality enables lower-alloy steels to be treated successfully.
